Position of responsibility utilizing my web programming and system administration skills to help an innovative team meet current and future challenges.

Development of an e-commerce website, which allows users to specify dates, book hotels, and book locations for specialized purposes. Building the website involved the use of PHP, SOAP, MySQL and ADOdb, among other technologies.

Administration and on-call support of clustered Seagate Info servers, and clustered Crystal Enterprise servers; as well as administration of the OS (Windows NT 4.0 Server and Windows 2000 Server). Maintained and added new content to the group's website, as well as writing and updating CGI Perl scripts for the website. Performed monitoring of servers using ManageExec and NetIQ AppManager. Supported SAP Workplace (primarily from the client side). Received training for Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Crystal Enterprise, and SAP.

Responsibilities included administration of Novell NetWare, Red Hat Linux, and Windows NT server and workstation machines (over 100 workstations and 8 servers); maintenance and upgrades of faculty and classroom machines; provided assistance to students (Office 97, Netscape, Windows NT 4.0, C and C++ programming assignments, etc.); documentation of lab procedures and software.

Awarded a scholarship for "Service and Scholarship" by the Department of Computer Science in May 1999.

Provided software/hardware installation and troubleshooting for clients in Wimberley, including Danforth High School.

Assisted with installations and troubleshooting software on more than 40 Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS machines.
